Winners of Contest and Free Ad Spot for Subscribing

Written by admin on August 31, 2008 – -

This past contest was definitely a success. I mean, when you have over 150 people entering the contest and almost 900 total entries to select from, then I’d definitely say it was pretty popular. Not to mention I hit my 100 subscribers mark for the first time, gotten some pretty decent traffic and my stats just continue to claim.

Well, I made this contest extremely easy but for some reason people still weren’t reading the post on how to enter. I mean, how could you go wrong? And there were also a couple of people that entered after the contest was officially over. I mean, the contest deadline was bolded, how did you miss that?

Of course, those that did not follow the simple instructions, those entries were not counted for.

Anyways, I’ll be writing an entire post on how to make a blog contest successful, how to promote it, what kind of prizes you should use, etc. So if blog contests are new to you or you haven’t had success with your own, please check back.

Of course, you can simply subscribe to my RSS Feeds if you haven’t already done so!

Anyways, I’ll make this short so I don’t bore you guys on this post. Below are the winners of my contest and winners of the ad spots for just staying subscribed via e-mail.

Smaller Niche Blogs Will Teach You More Than A-Listers

Written by admin on August 29, 2008 – -

A lot of middle sized blogs will teach you more than any A-lister blog with tens of thousands of subscribers and visitors. Of course, there are a few exceptions such as Maki of DoshDosh.com but just in general sense of Making Money Online, smaller blogs fair better.

If you go to A-list blogs, yes, there is a possibility they will teach you something new to make money online but quite frankly, it’s usually some product they want you to sign up for through their referral link.

For instance, a lot of people try to write a post on the newest big thing at the time (PerformancingAds seems to be coming up) and plug their affiliate links and everyone signs up. Of course, just because someone tells you about the newest big thing it doesn’t mean it will help you make money online.

I mean, we can all sign up for these affiliate networks, new companies, etc but if you have no idea what you’re doing, more than likely you’re not going to make money online.

Now, if they told about the newest thing and wrote a post detailing step by step on how to actually make money, then that’s a different story.

Those A-listers won’t do that… but I will.

If there is anything you guys want to know about, let me know and I will dedicate an entire post detailing step by step. Of course, I actually need to know how to do that particular thing you’re asking for.

If you have or haven’t learned anything from this blog yet, please let me know what you’re interested in (besides just making money online) and I will write about it if I know.

AnotherMMOblog Updates and Changes

Written by admin on August 27, 2008 – -

As my blog continues to grow, I will be making changes but nothing really drastic. But here are a few updates so you guys know what’s going on. Some will help you guys out.

I’m displaying my RSS Feed count . First, as you guys can see, I decided to break my own rule and display my RSS Feed count a little early. As of today, it sits at 93 subscribers but I didn’t want to display it before 100. But I was a little eager so I’m displaying it now on the top right sidebar so everyone can see right when they come here.

I updated my Advertise Page . If you guys are interested in advertising here, I updated my Advertise page . The prices are pretty cheap if you ask me. They are $5/month for a 125×125 ad spot on my sidebar and $10/month for a 468×60 ad spot. I’m also going to be doing some paid reviews if anyone is interested for $15.

I’m pretty sure these prices are going to go up in the next month so I would jump on the opportunity now.

Free Advertising for E-mail subscribers changes. I decided that holding free advertising on a weekly basis is just getting overwhelming to keep track of and the winners won’t be getting the full benefit of the traffic so instead I’m going to be changing it to a monthly basis.

Questions Answered and Free Backlinks Given

Written by admin on August 25, 2008 – -

I just wanted to thank you all for asking questions, I’m always up for answering questions. Though, some of you guys ask every other comment and it’s hard to keep up. :P

But sorry it took so long to answer these questions, I wasn’t around too much this past weekend.

Pangeran asks “While you’re making money online. What are your recommended money maker?”

It all depends because there are so many ways of making money online that it’s hard to narrow everything down. Personally, I don’t rely on just one source of income but I’ll try to break down each favorite.

Market Leverage for affiliate marketing because they are in a class of their own. Not only do they take the time to personally help you but they also hold videos telling you about the latest programs that will help you out.

SWATcash for GPT site because they have the best payouts, easiest ways to make money and they are well established. I joined not too long ago and have made a pretty good chunk of change.

SponsoredReviews is you’re actually going through a middleman company to get paid reviews. Though, I don’t highly recommend their affiliate program. For that, I’d use PayPerPost for their $15 for each signup. PPP has paid me quite some money without me writing a single paid review post for them.

Personally, I started getting into building niche sites so I only really have to do a one-time setup and just watch my money increase. Yeah, I may have to update once a month or whatever but seeing your revenue go up each day and just sitting back is what we all want, right?

Also, playing the middleman pays off pretty nice if you work it right. It’s almost like a buy low sell high type of thing.

One Week Left to Enter to Win $50 Paypal (and Other Prizes)

Written by admin on August 22, 2008 – -

I just want to give out a quick reminder that you have one week left to enter my current contest to win $50 Paypal simply for commenting .

Honestly, I have received a lot more people who entered than expected. Well, not really because I did a lot of promotions and believe me, this is not the first time I have held a successful contest.

Of course, after my contest is over I will reveal in details on how I went about holding this specific contest, how I promoted it, why I picked these prizes, etc.

I know a couple of you guys asked how I got so many people to enter and a few of you guys are just new to the concept of blog contests so I will answer any questions you may have within a future post after the contest is over.

Just a heads up, I’m sure a majority of people who entered the contest probably won’t be checking back to this blog so once the contest is over I will post the winners. The winners have the responsibility of claiming their prizes , and if they do not within a given period of time, I will simply redraw and determine new winners.

I’m going to say this again, if you win you need to contact me to claim your prizes or it will be forfeited to the next random person .

I just had to mention it twice because a lot of people tend to enter contests and never check back. I’m not the type to contact the winners, if they really wanted the prize(s), then they would at the very least check back a day after the contest is over.
