How to Turn Search Engine Traffic to RSS Feed Subscribers

Written by admin on October 22, 2008 – -

I haven’t been implementing this here but if you know me, I own quite a few websites and have used this to get hundreds of additional RSS Feed subscribers from search engine traffic.

I’m going to assume you guys know how to get search engine traffic and what keywords you’re getting them from already. Once you figure that part out, and you rank high in some popular keywords, you want to turn some of that traffic into subscribers.

I’ll give a scenario so you guys know what I’m talking about instead of just babbling on.

Say you have a video game blog and you rank on the first page for “download PSP games”, more than likely you’re getting quite a lot of visitors from Google, Yahoo, etc. Now, most of those visitors probably have no idea what RSS feeds are so that’s when you introduce it to them in a unique way.

First, you need an RSS Feed account, I’m currently using Feedburner. Basically, they give you an e-mail option which you will need to activate. Once you do that, just copy that code into the post that ranks on the first page of “download PSP games.”

Once you get that code, you just want to change the text around a little bit to suit your search engine visitors’ needs. For instance, in our example, I would put something like “enter your e-mail to get PSP game downloads delivered to you.”

See the example below:

Enter your email address for PSP Games download updates:

I implemented this on a few of my blogs and sites and over a period of time, I managed to get a few hundred additional subscribers… for each site. A friend of mine introduced this to me and he was experienced enough to get 5,000+ RSS Feed subscribers in one month. And again, those are just from search engines.

Give this a try, it does work, you just have to do it right.

Let me know if you have questions!

Make Money Online with SWATcash – The Best GPT Site

Written by admin on October 9, 2008 – -

SWATcash has to be the best GPT (Get-Paid-To) site out there now and they make it extremely easy to make money, cash in prizes and also they have a $1,000 giveaway every week! Now if you can find any other site that can beat that, well, I don’t think you can.  I mean, you can make an easy $1,000+ a month!

Before anyone jumps the gun, this is not a paid review of any sort. I have just been a fan of SWATcash since the moment I signed up. Matter of fact, I’m pretty much addicted to it as I sign in everyday to do a few things.

So, what exactly is SWATcash anyways?

Well, SWATcash is a get-paid-to site in which you do certain tasks to earn money or gain credits to spend on such prizes as iPods, Xbox 360s, PS3s, Nintendo Wiis, etc. The credits you gain are called “SWATcash” and you can earn these by doing various tasks. The easiest way to earn SWATcash as well as actual money is completing offers under the “earn tab.”

Personally, I only complete the free offers which is just as simple as filling out a simple survey or entering in your e-mail address. (Note: Create a gmail account and submit that e-mail when signing up for these offers. Also, make sure you clear your cookies after each offer so you get credited for doing so).

Sorry For The Lack Of Posts

Written by admin on October 8, 2008 – -

I’ve been extremely busy as of late so I know there has been a lack of posts on here. But don’t worry, the good news is the fact that I have been making more money online than I was before and I’m going to actually post the various ways I do. I mean, who doesn’t like an additional $x,xxx each month?

I can’t promise that I’ll be posting every single day because I’m not the type to post just to post, I believe in quality over quantity. And if you’re a blogger with a readership, you should care more about the quality of your posts because no one wants to read a lot of crap. If that’s the case, you guys would just be reading any blog out there. If that was so, then my blog would just get lost in the shuffle.

Also, before I forget, I know I said there was a new contest coming soon and there still is. I just haven’t had time to put it all together and as of this point, it’s pretty hard maintaining each entry, each contestant, etc with the lack of time I have. But don’t worry, I’m going to try to launch it by the end of this month.

Anyways, I hope you guys subscribe to my RSS Feeds so you don’t miss how I made $x,xxx this month and so you don’t miss out on my new contest!

Why All The Top Commentator Contests? They’re Not Worth It!

Written by admin on October 1, 2008 – -

I visit a lot of blogs and I’m cool with a bunch of people but I don’t agree with those that have a “top commentator” contest or reward each month on their site. But let me explain.

First, contests are a good way to get traffic, increase your readership, etc but usually it’s a temporary thing. Just look at my previous contest and since then I had a bunch of people that just unsubscribed shortly after. But that’s just fine with me because we all know that happens. But knowing that fact, why would someone hold a top commentator contest, I think that’s a worse idea than a regular one.

Here are my reasons that I don’t agree with having a top commentator contest:

Attracts spammers and Fake Traffic

Oh, yes, how we love spammers. If I knew someone was giving away $50 cash to be a top commentator for a month, I could essentially go to that blog and make 100 comments just so I can steal that $50 away. Or even a better idea, I could pay someone $0.10 per comment for 100 total comments and spend $10 total and make a net profit of $40.

I spend $10 and make $50, perfect!

Is it really fair? I don’t think so!

See, people comment because they want to. If I really wanted, I could just pay someone to make a bunch of comments and that’s essentially what people are doing with their top commentator’s contests. Having these contests takes away from your loyal readers’ comments because you’ll have a couple of people that will comment as much as they can to try to get that top spot.

Is that fair? Nope! If I’m a loyal reader that’s subscribed to your RSS Feeds but I don’t have the time to comment and comment and comment, then I lose out.

It’s a turnoff as a loyal reader

Yup, I haven’t visited specific blogs as much as I normally would because of this. I don’t want someone commenting just to comment, I want someone to comment because they want to and it’s related to the post. I hate to see my comment mixed in with 10 other comments from the same person about nothing.

Now, everyone has their own reasons whatever that may be but still, at least make it a random pick from your top commentators list rather than that one person who has more time than others.

That’s just my opinion. What do you guys think?
