Only A Few More Days to Enter to Win Some Great Prizes

There’s only a few more days to enter my current contest to win some great prizes. Matter of fact, you only have until this Friday to officially enter if you haven’t already done so.

Now, I haven’t really taken full advantage of my current contest and I’m sure you guys are aware of it especially the fact that I haven’t been posting that much. But let’s be honest, I’m sure a lot of subscribers aren’t reading the posts so I’m not bothering you guys too much with the e-mails from my RSS Feeds.

I haven’t promoted this contest fully like I normally do but it looks like I have a decent turnout in participates. Of course, people who are just e-mail subscribers from before were automatically entered into this contest so they didn’t have to do much. I guess that was a perk of being one of my loyal subscribers.

Anyways, if the next week or two, I’ll be writing more helpful posts on how I’ve been making money online. I think that has been a large part of why I haven’t posted on here as often because I’ve been setting my priorities based on what is bringing in the most money and just moving down that list.

But I’ll get to that later… this post is to inform you guys that you only have a couple days left to enter my contest.

New Contest Coming Soon!

I know you guys have been waiting too long for me to run another contest on here. Well, you only have to wait just a little longer because I will have one very soon!

Now the contest probably won’t be anything too special because I’ve been having a tough time getting sponsors that are willing to contribute something good enough to win. A few people have offered things like Entrecard credits but I’m not really a big fan of that anymore. Some people offered to sponsor some ad space on their blogs so I think that will be pretty good. But I still need a standout prize that will catch people’s attention.

I think I’m going to have a basic contest in which you would need to either a) write a blog post, b) subscribe to my RSS Feeds via e-mail or c) misc. lol

Again, nothing special but since I haven’t had a chance to really promote this blog like I should then I figured a contest would help me out slightly.

And if you want to become a sponsor for my upcoming contest, please let me know! You’ll get a backlink from me as well as anyone who blogs about the contest, plus, some traffic and added exposure!

Win a OIO Publisher WP Plugin - The Best Advertising Solution For Your Blog

It looks like John Chow is giving away the OIO Publisher plugin for free to two random winners. If you’re into making money online, particularly selling direct ad spots on your blog, then you will probably need this plugin.

Personally, I do not use the OIO Publisher plugin right now simply because I can manage my direct ad spots easily. Plus, as this blog is still fairly small, I don’t have many advertisers to deal with so I can’t argue that fact.

But essentially, OIO Publisher is an automated way for your advertisers to buy direct ad spots without you having to do anything… well, except just approve them, of course.

The normal cost of the plugin is $47 and I heard it’s worth every penny. However, I won’t be purchasing on this blog until I build up my traffic, get more subscribers, etc.

Anyways, I would suggest entering the contest because this will be one of the best plugins that will help you with your making money online process. It’s as easy as commenting on the contest post, blogging about it or even Twittering it.

Is Blogging Idol Really Worth It?

I’m sure some of you guys are aware of the Blogging Idol contest that is going on as we speak. And for those of you guys not aware of it, well, it’s basically a competition in which the winner is determined by the amount of RSS Feed subscribers one can gain within a given period. Well, is it really worth it to enter?

I first heard about the competition from DatMoney.com and then I went over to the Dailyblogtips.com to check it out. Personally, I didn’t enter because of the fact that there are over 100 contestants, plus, if I read correctly, the first one gathered a lot of attention but not all of it was good.

Matter of fact, most of it was accusing the top contestants of cheating by artificially inflating their RSS Feed numbers.

So, there are many pros and cons with the Blogging Idol contest but which one does it favor more?

Pros:

- You can added publicity
- Backlinks from Dailyblogtips.com and any other blogs
- You get a chance to win great prizes including $1,000 cash
- You get to check out new blogs you would have never known about and network

Cons:

- You have to deal with people cheating
- Spammers – believe it or not, I heard some contestants were e-mailing everyone to get links, exchange RSS Feeds, etc
- Self-esteem issues when you lose
- You’re so involved with that, you lose focus on everything else

I know the Pros definitely outweigh the cons but you have to look at both side of the issue.

Should you have even bothered entering in the contest if you managed to gain 13 subscribers in the last six months? Probably not. And that’s another reason why I didn’t because anyone could have entered with no real requirements.
