Would You Make an Automated Blog with Other Peoples Content to Make Thousands of Dollars?

Written by admin on March 18, 2009 – -

I have a very simple question to ask: would you make an automated blog with other peoples content if you could make thousands of dollars? I know quite a few people who have tried out this method before and although you can make tons of money by not doing much, the unethical part hits.

Now, there are quite a few ways of making money with automated blogs but the main way I’m talking about is setting up one that takes content from other peoples feeds. So, essentially, you’ll be using other peoples work and content on your site while you sit back and relax while watching your earnings increase.

I know a bunch of people that would do this simply because its easy money and I see a lot of people not giving a damn just as long as they make some money from it.

On the other hand, some people won’t attempt to test this out because its unethical or they don’t want to get in trouble from Google or anyone else for that matter. And believe it or not, there are people who actually want to go and work on the money rather than taking a cheap way of making some quick cash.

In my opinion, usually the quick money methods are just that and nothing more. You get some quick cash but in the long run it usually dies out for whatever reason. And if the reason is because you got in trouble, more than likely it’s going to hurt you more than it will ever help you.

I have tried this method out so I know it works to make money but I stopped doing it simply because its just not right. The only reason why I tried it because I wanted to see how it worked more out of curiosity than making money.

So, my question: would you try this method out and why?

How to Make Money as an Amazon Affiliate

Written by admin on March 12, 2009 – -

There are tons of affiliate networks and companies you can work with to promote products but Amazon is probably one of the best. The reason why I say that is simply the fact that they are a reputable company (so visitors trust them) and you can make a whole lot of money with them as well. Here’s how to do it.

Build a Site or Blog for a Specific Niche/Product

It’s almost like setting up a landing page but if you make an entire blog about a specific product then that’s even better. For instance, say you have a site based on a TV show such as Heroes or Lost (or something popular that people are searching for) you can aim for those specific products to show up.

Now if you are a fan of one of those shows, you shouldn’t have any problem talking about them all the time.

Getting Traffic to your Blog or Site

There are various ways of getting traffic but which way is the best? Well, I guess it all depends on your niche, your patience and products you’re trying to promote.

Most people try to use PPC marketing because it’s quick and easy. The downside is paying money out of your own products and potentially losing money.

Now you can always submit your site to forums, social media and bookmarking sites as well as article marketing but depending on your niche or product you’re promoting, it might not work right.

I would say to try to build links for some specific keywords so you get the organic traffic so it’s easier. I mean, “heroes” the TV show gets close to 5,000 unique search visitors daily so I’m sure there are a lot of longtail keywords you can use.

But the key is to build links which can be done by guest blogging, blogroll link exchanges, forums, social bookmarking sites, linking with your own site, blog commenting, etc.

Make Money Online

After you have mastered those techniques, feel free to start another site and do the same thing. Though, I wouldn’t start another one until you have somewhat mastered the first one. It takes time but if you know what you are doing, you could be making tens of thousands each month (or more).

I know it’s always easier said than done but it just takes patience and the ability to execute.

Any questions?

Ugly Sites Will Probably Make More Money Than Good Looking Ones

Written by admin on February 10, 2009 – -

Ugly Betty T-Shirt

A lot of people are too caught up with blog and website designs but quite honestly, it’s only important to other webmasters and bloggers. You have to realize that a majority of your search engine traffic are not webmasters or bloggers at that. And take my word for it, ugly sites do in fact make a good amount of money, probably even better than good looking sites.

I used to think that I should focus on unique themes to try to separate myself from other websites but in reality, I don’t. I have quite a few websites that are plain ugly but yet, they are some of my best money makers online.

If you are an affiliate marketer, I’m sure you can say the same thing when it comes to setting up a landing page. I asked a few affiliate marketers and they admitted that some of their best converting landing pages are a plain type of design.

You don’t have to believe me, feel free to ask any affiliate marketer that makes a good income from setting up landing pages.

If you’re a blogger looking to make money online, specifically from Adsense, then you don’t have to worry about how your site looks, just focus on the content. I have a website that probably has like 8-10 ads per page, yet, I’m making a couple thousand off the site simply because I get a decent amount of organic traffic.

I keep saying this but some of the most important things to keep in mind are: building backlinks for SEO purposes and keyword research. After you get those two mastered, it’s all about plugging your ads and then you’re good to go.

So, do you have a ugly site that makes more money than your good looking sites?

You Don’t Need Tons of Subscribers, Comments or A Nice Theme to Make Money Online

Have you ever noticed all those sites in which you look at some of their stats and say “well, they can’t possibly make any money online, their site is crap!” Well, I have always said to not judge a book by it’s cover and it works exactly the same way for websites.

I always see people looking down on websites that don’t have a lot of RSS Feed subscribers but honestly, that’s just a number and anyone can increase it. But will that truly make you money?

The answer is “yes” but of course to make money you would need your subscribers to probably purchase or sign up for a product that you’re trying to sell. There are other ways that subscribers can benefit in increasing your revenue but just like Google Pagerank, you don’t need it to make money online.

Currently, my RSS Feed subscribers is sitting at 21 because Feedburner didn’t include any of my e-mail subscribers today (it’s usually around 90-100 subscribers) but that didn’t stop me from making money from this blog. I’m trying to rank this blog in search engines under some more keywords and since then my Adsense earnings have increased by 700%.

That’s not saying much since I haven’t been working on this site too much as of late but an increase is an increase.

I used to go to some of these popular blogs and see they have thousands of subscribers and think, “wow, they must be making a lot of money!” But in reality, I found some people who have thousands of subscribers actually don’t make as much as I thought they would. I know some people who have over 1,000 subscribers yet they only make a few hundred a month. I’ve also seen someone with a little more than 10,000 subscribers make a little more than $1,000 a month.

The general rule of thumb is you should make about $1/subscriber but that’s definitely not true for everyone. And quite frankly, a majority of people I know make more than $1/subscriber, especially if they only have 100 or less!

The same thing goes with comments and a nice theme, it’s nice and all but you don’t need it. I personally work on a blog and make probably only $1,000/month from it but yet the theme isn’t really nice and on my posts I barely get any comments.

See, the thing that I do is target search engine and organic traffic, they aren’t there to subscribe, comment or stick around forever to check out how nice my theme is. They are there to read my post then click on my ads and go on their way.

Of course, if I made a good impression on them, I’m sure they’ll return at some point.

What I’m basically saying is don’t get caught up in the hype of overwhelming yourself trying to build subscribers, trying to get more people commenting or stressing yourself out trying to fix your theme if you’re already struggling and don’t know how to do it. There are tons of ways of making money online without that stuff so just focus on what works for you!

What Are The Best Keywords To Target For Google Adsense?

Written by admin on January 24, 2009 – -

keyword-blogging-research

There are a lot of keywords out there but some of them just aren’t worth it. I’ve decided to check out some of the best keywords or niches to target for Google Adsense so you can increase your revenue in price-per-click.

In my experience, certain niches will simply make you more money if you do it right. And when I say “do it right” I mean using Adsense as your source of revenue and organic or search engine traffic as your “customer” let’s say.

I’m sure all of you guys know that the “Make Money Online” niche is extremely popular with Adsense clicks, I mean, when people bid on those keywords through Adwords, they’re bidding probably up to $10 per click!

Of course, you probably won’t get that very often. Though, the other day I did notice one click on my Adsense ad and I was paid close to $3… for one click!

Anyways, let’s go over some of the best keywords to target for Google Adsense and give you an idea. This should spark some ideas on what type of niche sites you should consider making, especially if you already know how to get tons of organic traffic.

  • Mesothelioma
  • Structured Settlement
  • Drug Rehab
  • Car Accident Lawyer
  • Debt Consolidation
  • Tax Attorney
  • Web Hosting
  • Auto Insurance
  • Make Money Online
  • Vioxx Attorney

This is just a short list but there are a lot of terrific paying keywords relating to medicine, lawyers and money. Just think about what people are in need for, that would mean there are a lot of people searching for that specific topic which also means someone else is probably bidding high on those popular keywords.

Now, keep in mind that these are competitive keywords so that’s why they pay so well. Of course, if you have tons of traffic based on any of these keywords or even rank on the first page of one and you plug Adsense into your site you should be pretty much set.

Though, the hard part is knowing how to do your SEO and trying to rank your website on the first page of a popular keyword.

Easier said than done, right? Well, it shouldn’t be that easy or else everyone would be millionaires. :D

I’ll be writing another post on some of the extremely low paying keywords that may not even worth making a niche site over.

Don’t change that channel!
