How to Make Money as an Amazon Affiliate

Written by admin on March 12, 2009 – -

There are tons of affiliate networks and companies you can work with to promote products but Amazon is probably one of the best. The reason why I say that is simply the fact that they are a reputable company (so visitors trust them) and you can make a whole lot of money with them as well. Here’s how to do it.

Build a Site or Blog for a Specific Niche/Product

It’s almost like setting up a landing page but if you make an entire blog about a specific product then that’s even better. For instance, say you have a site based on a TV show such as Heroes or Lost (or something popular that people are searching for) you can aim for those specific products to show up.

Now if you are a fan of one of those shows, you shouldn’t have any problem talking about them all the time.

Getting Traffic to your Blog or Site

There are various ways of getting traffic but which way is the best? Well, I guess it all depends on your niche, your patience and products you’re trying to promote.

Most people try to use PPC marketing because it’s quick and easy. The downside is paying money out of your own products and potentially losing money.

Now you can always submit your site to forums, social media and bookmarking sites as well as article marketing but depending on your niche or product you’re promoting, it might not work right.

I would say to try to build links for some specific keywords so you get the organic traffic so it’s easier. I mean, “heroes” the TV show gets close to 5,000 unique search visitors daily so I’m sure there are a lot of longtail keywords you can use.

But the key is to build links which can be done by guest blogging, blogroll link exchanges, forums, social bookmarking sites, linking with your own site, blog commenting, etc.

Make Money Online

After you have mastered those techniques, feel free to start another site and do the same thing. Though, I wouldn’t start another one until you have somewhat mastered the first one. It takes time but if you know what you are doing, you could be making tens of thousands each month (or more).

I know it’s always easier said than done but it just takes patience and the ability to execute.

Any questions?

Make Money Online with SWATcash – The Best GPT Site

Written by admin on October 9, 2008 – -

SWATcash has to be the best GPT (Get-Paid-To) site out there now and they make it extremely easy to make money, cash in prizes and also they have a $1,000 giveaway every week! Now if you can find any other site that can beat that, well, I don’t think you can.  I mean, you can make an easy $1,000+ a month!

Before anyone jumps the gun, this is not a paid review of any sort. I have just been a fan of SWATcash since the moment I signed up. Matter of fact, I’m pretty much addicted to it as I sign in everyday to do a few things.

So, what exactly is SWATcash anyways?

Well, SWATcash is a get-paid-to site in which you do certain tasks to earn money or gain credits to spend on such prizes as iPods, Xbox 360s, PS3s, Nintendo Wiis, etc. The credits you gain are called “SWATcash” and you can earn these by doing various tasks. The easiest way to earn SWATcash as well as actual money is completing offers under the “earn tab.”

Personally, I only complete the free offers which is just as simple as filling out a simple survey or entering in your e-mail address. (Note: Create a gmail account and submit that e-mail when signing up for these offers. Also, make sure you clear your cookies after each offer so you get credited for doing so).

Make Money by Being a Power Social Media User

Written by admin on September 10, 2008 – -

power-user

I know this isn’t preached by any means but there are a lot of power users of social media and bookmarking sites that make money simply by voting. And yes, you can make a pretty decent amount if you’re able to build your reputation on getting people lots of traffic from that particular social media site.

For instance, say you are a Digg user and you have tons of followers and quite a few of your submitted Diggs make it to the frontpage, well, if you can do that at ease, you can make a pretty hefty amount of money.

The same technique can be used for any major social media or bookmarking site, even sites as simple as SU.

For the record, this is against every single social sites TOS so you have to be careful doing this. Matter of fact, I wouldn’t strongly encourage doing this in the long term but if you’re in need of a few hundred dollars quick, this is an easy way. I mean, if you’re already a power user, why not make a quick buck or two hundred?

And if any of you guys are power users, I may consider hiring you myself! Actually, if you are let me know, if the price is right then I just might use you for the long-term.

Smaller Niche Blogs Will Teach You More Than A-Listers

Written by admin on August 29, 2008 – -

A lot of middle sized blogs will teach you more than any A-lister blog with tens of thousands of subscribers and visitors. Of course, there are a few exceptions such as Maki of DoshDosh.com but just in general sense of Making Money Online, smaller blogs fair better.

If you go to A-list blogs, yes, there is a possibility they will teach you something new to make money online but quite frankly, it’s usually some product they want you to sign up for through their referral link.

For instance, a lot of people try to write a post on the newest big thing at the time (PerformancingAds seems to be coming up) and plug their affiliate links and everyone signs up. Of course, just because someone tells you about the newest big thing it doesn’t mean it will help you make money online.

I mean, we can all sign up for these affiliate networks, new companies, etc but if you have no idea what you’re doing, more than likely you’re not going to make money online.

Now, if they told about the newest thing and wrote a post detailing step by step on how to actually make money, then that’s a different story.

Those A-listers won’t do that… but I will.

If there is anything you guys want to know about, let me know and I will dedicate an entire post detailing step by step. Of course, I actually need to know how to do that particular thing you’re asking for.

If you have or haven’t learned anything from this blog yet, please let me know what you’re interested in (besides just making money online) and I will write about it if I know.

Localized SEO is a Great Way to Get Traffic on Competitive Words

Written by admin on August 10, 2008 – -

If you’re new to search engine optimization (SEO) and it’s hard for you to compete for those highly searched keywords then you should try localizing your SEO.

For those who are wondering what I mean when I say “localizing SEO”, well, I’m basically saying to focus your target audience on a smaller demographic but yet, you still get the benefit of the keywords you desire.

For instance, let’s take the highly competitive keyword “make money online.” If you’re looking to compete for this keyword, well, you’ll be competing with 39 million other pages or websites (see the screenshot below).

make-money-online

This keyword is highly competitive because if you can maintain the first spot for that term in search engines, you’ll get an estimated 1,397 unique visitors each day. (Stats based on Seobook keyword tools)

Now, instead of using “make money online”, you can try using “make money online India” or “make money online Brazil” or any other country. You’ll be focusing on a specific country that wants to know about how to make money online.

And yes, it’s understandable you won’t get as much traffic as “make money online” but you’ll get a more targeted demographic and more than likely, it’ll be easier to rank in the first spot for that localized keyword.

That was just an example that I could relate to myself only because I run a MMO blog, but this could actually work for just about anything.

Try “Blackberry phones” and localizing it to “Blackberry phones Hong Kong” and you’re get targeted audience from Hong Kong. Or iPhone 3g Philippines. Or sex tapes in United Kingdom.

Honestly, you can do localized SEO with just about anything. Try it out, who knows, maybe it’ll help you out more than you know!
